Fitzgerald letter breathtakingly adolescent
Dear Editor: Sen. Scott Fitzgerald’s letter to Sen. Mark Miller is breathtaking in its adolescent and socially underdeveloped tone and substance. Fitzgerald has a very narrow view of what democracy truly is at its core. It is about people, and the leaders they elected, working together for the common, not just the Republican, good. He actually does not understand this. His myopic world view and self-centered reality is harmful to Wisconsin and to our nation. There was no mention in his letter of the thousands of voices uplifted in Wisconsin against Scott Walker’s refusal to negotiate over the past weeks. Nor was there mention of the people of Wisconsin’s right to hold their leaders accountable. A majority of Wisconsinites are against Walker’s noncooperation. I am appalled.
I truly believe that the majority of people in this country are finally waking up and will surround and overcome the few loud and pernicious voices in our country that have grabbed more power than is their due by using money and lies.
