BerandaMontessori school to launch adolescent program
Chesterfield Montessori School will begin an adolescent program for seventh- and eighth-graders in September.
The program will emphasize hands-on learning and work on the land. In addition to the curriculum, the program will feature real-world experiences, running a small business for connection to the community, outdoor work to study nature and the environment, and personal expression through creative writing, fine arts and physical education.
Chesterfield Montessori School currently offers Montessori programs from toddlers through sixth grade. A Montessori background is not required for new students entering the adolescent program.
